In 1817, Ludwig van Beethoven resided in this romantic suburban house at Pfarrplatz (parish square), which is protected as a historic monument. During his time in Heiligenstadt, he worked on the Eroica and began his greatest oeuvre, the Ninth Symphony. His apartment, which can be reached from the Heurigen garden via a small staircase leading to the first floor, still reminds one of the famous composer.

The winery has a long tradition in making the Beethoven wines, Cuvée Erica and Beethoven No. 9.
